Be a part of an unending art chain! Here’s how:

  1. Create a small, original piece of art. Think: artist trading card, artist tile, postcard.

  2. Place it in a standard-sized letter envelope (it should take just 1 first-class stamp). Tips: include a slip of paper with your name and return address to help ensure a smooth delivery of a piece back to you. Write anything on the back of the piece that you want to share publicly and/or with the recipient (such as your name or social media).

  3. Mail to:

Wait…how does this work?

It started with one original artwork. When the next one was received, the sender received the first piece. The next sender received the second. And it just keeps going! Images of the art are posted here and on Instagram after they are sent back out. (If you sent something and it’s not here yet, we might just be waiting for another piece to arrive—encourage your friends to participate!)

If you send something to the art chain, you are guaranteed to get something back because there is always a piece waiting.

There is no cost to participate except for your materials, envelope, and stamp. Kate supplies the return postage.
